The thin slicing disc makes easy work of slicing onions for onion soup, potatoes for gratins, or apples for tarts. It also works well slicing cucumbers for salads, slicing lemons or limes for fruit punches and other beverages, and for slicing pepperoni for pizza–or any other task for which you need large quantities of even slices. The raised shelf behind the cutting blade prevents slices from colliding with the disc itself, providing perfect, uniform slices every time.
